Auburn Community Robotics Membership Agreement

Membership Period: 5/1/2025 – 4/30/2026

This Membership Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into by and between Auburn Community Robotics (the “Organization”), and the undersigned individual member (the “Member”).

1. Purpose and Mission

Auburn Community Robotics is dedicated to providing hands-on robotics education and competition opportunities to children in our community, with the aim of fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.

2. Membership Eligibility

By signing this Agreement, the Member acknowledges that they meet the eligibility criteria for membership as defined by the Organization’s Bylaws.

3. Rights and Responsibilities

As a Member of Auburn Community Robotics, the Member agrees to:

a. Support the Mission: The Member shall actively support and promote the mission and goals of Auburn Community Robotics.

b. Comply with Bylaws: The Member shall adhere to the Organization’s Bylaws, rules, and policies, which may be updated or amended as needed.

c. Attend Meetings: The Member is encouraged to attend and participate in annual meetings, special meetings, and other events organized by the Organization.

d. Voting Rights: Members over the age of 16 shall have the right to vote in elections and on other matters put before the membership.

e. Membership Dues: The Member acknowledges that the membership dues are $50 per family for this membership period.

f. Volunteering and Engagement: The Member is required to volunteer their time, skills, and resources to support the activities and initiatives of Auburn Community Robotics.  Each member with a child or children competing on a S.C.O.R.E. Community team is required to provide 12 hours of volunteer service or provide a $250 dollar donation.  All service hours must be approved by the Board or their appointed committee. The financial commitment for unpaid hours will be due at the end of the membership year indicated by the end date of this agreement. 

4. Termination of Membership

Membership with Auburn Community Robotics may be terminated by:

a. Resignation: The Member may resign from membership at any time by providing written notice to the Organization.  Membership resignation does not relieve responsibility for the membership year’s volunteer commitment.

b. Non-Payment: Failure to pay required membership dues or completing the volunteer commitment may result in membership termination.

c. Violation of Bylaws: Membership may be terminated for violations of the Organization’s Bylaws, rules, or policies, subject to a fair and transparent review process.

5. Amendment of Agreement

This Membership Agreement may be amended by the Board of Directors. Notice of any amendments shall be provided to Members in accordance with the Organization’s policies.

6. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Alabama.

7. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a Membership, the Member acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this Membership Agreement.
